Big ear-biting woman hits out
Don’t believe everything you read. False rumors and hoax reports are awash on the Internet… and in newspapers.
Remember when the Irianian Fars Agency copied an The Onion story, “Gallup Poll: Rural Whites Prefer Ahmadinejad To Obama” as per New York Times? Only for the New York Times (and many others) itself to fall for another The Onion farce which named North Korea’s Kim Jong-un as the “Sexiest Man Alive.”
For over two decades The Onion has shamelessly duped the gullible and plagiarists alike – and irked even the most so-called informed persons. Much to the delight of those who enjoy parody and satire.
Mike Tyson spoof
On the other side of the pond, UK satirical site NewBiscuit has been equally active with some of the most hilarious spoofs. In November 2012 they reported that former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson had undergone a sex change. The story went viral in Africa after being picked up by SpyGhana and the Zimbabwe Standard on Sunday. The Zambian Watchdog even called the op ‘a complete success – they have since deleted the post.
Once known as the Baddest Man on the Planet, Iron Mike – who apparently was arrested 38 times by the time he was 13 – obviously would hit out. “I am still a man and I have always been fully in touch with my masculinity and have no intention of becoming a woman. The claims are not only untrue but unbelievably stupid. I was at the Pacquiao-Marquez fight on Saturday and any reasonable person could tell I was looking like a man.”
Imagine a female Mike Tyson! That would be a very big ear-biting woman.
