Vancouver is delivering a magnificent Winter Olympics in every sense. Even the odd lack of snow was quickly overcome by trucking the much-needed white stuff to where it was needed. Imagine the frantic operation behind the scenes.
The Vancouver Olympic cauldron is quite a sight, resembling the Canadian national symbol, the maple leaf. The mascots are Miga, Quathi and Sumi. The official logo is called Ilanaaq (el la nawk), which means “friend” in an Inuit.
