What I want for Christmas

Hugo Boss Original would do. And some colorful hippie socks. Or Greensound glass speakers. Or the new Ducatti 848 Evo. The sexy Porsche Cayman R. Lunch with the witty Sharon Stone. Any of these would make a great Christmas gift, thank you.

Instead, how about one perfect day of peace. Not a single shot fired. No rockets, no bombs, not even an insult. One single day on which everyone everywhere would grant their neighbors what they wish for themselves.

But what am I talking about?! It’s not even my birthday. So how about allowing Jesus to have his wish on his birthday?

Remember the reason for the season and have a very happy Christmas.

‘Tis the reason for the season

On Christmas day, the Jewish shopkeeper gathers his wife and children in the living room. “Look,” he says, “look at all the money!” And then they spontaneously start singing What A Friend We Have In Jesus.

Although this Christmas won’t be as great as it previously might have been for most shoppers and shopkeepers (of any faith – but not any bank) it still is important to remember the reason for the season. Hopefully you’re having a good season, filled with joy, constantly reminded that money can’t buy everything and that love conquers all.
